Timeless Gilded Wood is carved from solid wood, and you can feel it: the frame has weight in the hand and the scrollwork has the slight irregularity that only a chisel leaves. The gold-toned finish is laid over the wood so the grain still shows through in the hollows of the carving, which is what separates it from a cast resin frame at first glance.
The profile is 5 cm wide and 3 cm deep, enough to give the mirror a real edge without crowding the glass. Inside sits 4 mm Optiwhite glass, razor-clear and without the green cast of standard mirror glass. Each frame is carved and gilded by hand, and we build every mirror to order in our workshop in Wrocław, Poland.
Fifteen sizes, from 50 × 100 cm to 100 × 180 cm. Upright it elongates a hallway or a bedroom; on its side, above a marble console in an entryway, it becomes the accent the room is built around. It sits equally well in a Victorian house, a Parisian flat and a Scandinavian one, because real wood belongs to all three.
