Imperial Grandeur is gold and black together, and it is the black that does the work: it sits in the depths of the ornament so the gilded relief stands forward, and the whole frame reads as sharper and more graphic than a plain gold one. At 8.6 cm wide and 2.9 cm deep it is one of our boldest borders, and in a teal panelled room with dried grasses in a vase it holds the wall effortlessly.
The glass is 4 mm Optiwhite, ultra-clear and true to colour, so the dark wood, marble and velvet you put around it come back honestly. The frame is carved from sustainably sourced wood, fitted with a reinforced hanging system, and finished individually by hand in our workshop in Wrocław, Poland.
Fifteen sizes, from 50 × 100 cm to 100 × 180 cm. Over a large fireplace it anchors the room, in a stately hallway it becomes the centrepiece, and in a bedroom the tall formats are a full-length mirror with real weight.
