Full-length mirrors, made to order in 15 sizes

A full-length mirror only works if it is tall enough to show you from head to toe from where you actually stand — and wide enough not to look stranded on the wall. Reflessa builds six full-length models, each in the same 15 formats from 50 × 100 cm up to 100 × 180 cm, priced from 368 € to 680 €, hand-finished and made to order in Poland in 15–20 business days.

How tall does a full-length mirror have to be?

There is a straightforward optical answer: a flat wall mirror shows you your whole body when it is at least half your height, provided the top edge sits roughly halfway between your eye level and the top of your head. Someone 1.70 m tall needs about 85 cm of glass; someone 1.90 m tall needs about 95 cm.

That is the minimum, not the recommendation. Half-height only works if you stand square to the mirror and never move. In practice you want margin for stepping back, for seeing shoes and hem together, and for a second person in the frame:

  • 100–120 cm tall — the working minimum. Fine above a dresser or in a dressing area where you stand close.
  • 140–150 cm tall — the comfortable everyday choice. You see the whole outfit without stepping back into the room.
  • 160–180 cm tall — a mirror you look into rather than at. This is also the range where the mirror starts to change the room, not just serve it.

Width matters less for function and more for proportion. As a rule, leave at least 15–20 cm of bare wall on either side of the frame; if you cannot, the format is too wide for that wall.

Hanging a full-length mirror

Each mirror ships with a reinforced hanging system and can be mounted vertically or horizontally. Three things decide whether it looks right:

  1. Height of the top edge. For a mirror you use rather than admire, the top edge should sit above the head of the tallest person in the household — roughly 190–200 cm from the floor for a 180 cm mirror hung close to the ground.
  2. What it reflects. A full-length mirror doubles whatever is opposite it. Facing a window it spreads daylight; facing a cluttered shelf it doubles the clutter.
  3. Clear floor in front. Leave at least 1.5 m of standing space, otherwise you will never see more than your upper half.

Ordering, delivery and returns

Reflessa is based in Wrocław, Poland, and each mirror is made after the order is placed — allow 15–20 business days for production before dispatch. We deliver to every country in Europe; the shipping cost depends on the weight and dimensions of the mirror and is calculated in your cart once you choose a delivery method. See the shipping policy for details.

Standard formats can be returned within 14 days of delivery, unaltered and with labels intact; return shipping is paid by the buyer, and mirrors made to individual dimensions are excluded. The refund policy covers the procedure, including the damage report a courier must sign if the mirror arrives broken. The commercial warranty is 2 years for private customers, 1 year for businesses.

Questions and answers

How tall should a full-length mirror be?

At least half your height for the optics to work — about 85 cm for a person of 1.70 m. In practice, 140–150 cm of height is the comfortable everyday choice, and 160–180 cm turns the mirror into a feature of the room.

What sizes and prices are available?

Fifteen formats, from 50 × 100 cm at 368 € to 100 × 180 cm at 680 €, identical across all six frames. Prices include VAT.

Can a full-length mirror be hung horizontally?

Yes. All six models take the same reinforced hanging system in either orientation, so a 100 × 180 cm mirror can also be mounted as a 180 × 100 cm horizontal panel above a sofa or sideboard.

How long does delivery take?

Production takes 15–20 business days because each mirror is made to order, and transit across Europe is added on top. The exact dispatch date is confirmed by e-mail.

What glass is used?

Optiwhite, a low-iron glass without the green edge cast of ordinary float glass. Golden Majesty is specified at 4 mm.
